It’s good to be back in The Real World. I spent five intense days last week in a Guerrilla Business School seminar, where every minute, from 9 am to 11 pm, was packed with more business building ideas than I can process in a year. It was a great experience, and I hope to implement maybe a tenth of what I learned in the coming months. It was a great experience, though. As much as I love our little store, we do need some good business ideas to help keep our doors open.
One theme all of the speakers reiterated was the importance of referral, affiliate, and network marketing. Word-of-mouth advertising is the best and least expensive means of getting the word out about anything. Wouldn’t you be more enticed to our store if your friend gave it a thumbs-up versus reading an ad in a newspaper? I know I would. So I’m focusing on marketing ideas that will benefit my business and yours, ways of helping to increase abundance and prosperity for all of us. If you have ideas about how we can network, please email me at cheryl@blissfulsoul.com.
Whatever we’re selling, good “databases” of friends, colleagues, and/or customers surely makes it all easier. Despite all the distance that our technology tries to wedge between us, connecting person-to-person is the most meaningful way we communicate, and it also happens to be the very most effective way to market our skills, services, and wares. I haven’t always been the best marketer, though. As much as I love people, I am an introvert by nature and it takes energy for me to promote even those things that matter to me the most.
What has helped me learn to reach out and market the most has been the Peak Potentials training I’ve completed in the last year. I started with the Millionaire Mind Intensive which I attended, not just once, but TWICE last year. Yes, even with my busy mother-of-two-and-a-store schedule, I found time to pack in those three three days of intensive training twice last year. I never thought it would be possible, but it’s funny how things work out if we let them (and do a lot of begging and pleading for help!). I recommend it for everyone, whether you have any specific financial goals or not. Before I went, I thought it would be a dull, dry talk about numbers, and how would I stay awake? It was anything but boring. I laughed, I cried, and I danced my way onto a path of greater understanding all the blocks to prosperity that I had created. I followed it up with the Guerrilla Business School last week, and it was another mind-blowing experience.
I can’t urge you strongly enough to try the training by Peak Potentials, and the freebie MMI is the place to start (actually, there is a $97 admin fee, a small price for an experience that will change your life). MMI events are held in some 10 or 12 North American cities now. Check out Millionaire Mind Evening. If you sign up through that link and enter ticket W# 408909, I get a couple of referral points with Peak Potentials, which brings us full circle, back to the importance of referral and networking. It’s the best (free) game going.
Well, this is my first blog post. I’ve been meaning to start one for a very long time. if you’re like me, you know that starting something is the hardest part. I have to say this was far easier than I thought, and I expect I’ll be back here again soon. I hope you will be, too!
Many blessings to all,
Cheryl
