Dear Cheryl,
Golden Slumbers

Come on in for a break from the heat! It may be hot outside, but The Blissful Soul is cool. We have some unique gifts for brides, Dad and Grads (no neckties or fountain pens here!), including journals, a desktop thumb piano, birdhouses, garden incense, books, World and local music, locally crafted fine jewelry, and Willow Tree figurines.

To celebrate Dads, we particularly recommend a special musical tribute called "Golden Slumbers: A Father's Love," which includes songs by thirteen hit performers, including Dave Matthews, Phil Collins, Smokey Robinson and Loudon Wainwright III. The CD was produced by the incomparable Jeff Koz, a good friend of The Blissful Soul.

We also gift wrap every purchase for free!

Apple Candles
We've heard your concerns about the quality of the Taronga candle line. There have been changes in the personnel who create these candles, and we hope to have these issues resolved soon. In the meantime, we're adding some exciting new candle lines to choose from, including these apple candles by Artwax. These beautiful candles (along with some delicious chocolate covered strawberries and refreshing lemon slice candles) should be in our store by next week.

We also have samples of several other candle lines we're considering. We'd love to have your input. Stop in and let us know what you like to see in the store, or recommend a candle line to us by email or phone. What types of candles (or any other products, for that matter) would you like to see here in our store?

Give us your feedback and save! Mention the "Ask ME!" promotion the next time you're in the store, and save 20% off your next purchase (offer excludes jewelry and consignment artwork).
Bridge
The Sacred Space event with Stan Smith last month was such a success, that we immediately booked him for another. A dozen people brought sacred items that were assembled into a tapestry of altars on our parking lot. What a change from the usual dusty blacktop.

On Saturday, June 3rd at 2pm, Stan will focus the demonstration how altars connect us to each other and to our urban environement. Come create your own bit of sacred space in our urban environment! This event is $20 RSVP recommended.
Kirsten Schilling Stackhouse of Aariel Healing will return on Wednesday, June 21 at 7pm for a celebration of the Summer Solstice. Kirsten will discuss and use aromatherapy and herbs with solar properties that are relevant to the holiday. We'll close with a ceremony to celebrate the Longest Night.
Please note that we will be closed on Sunday, June 18, so that we can celebrate Father's Day with our families. Thank you, Dads, for all that you do!

June is a time for transitions: graduations, weddings, and the summer solstice ~ changing from longer days to shorter. We're in transition here at The Blissful Soul, too, as we consider new candles and other products for the store. We look forward to your input on what we offer. We're here to offer everything your blissful soul desires!

Blessings,

Cheryl Leutjen
