Himalayan Singing Bowls

The bad news is that, due to scheduling difficulties, our Spring Fling and Psychic Faire have been postponed until, well, sometime later this spring. More details to follow in our next newsletter. We apologize for the late notice. We'll still be open on Sunday, so, if you had us on your calendar, please come on in and see us, anyway!

The good news is that our new shipment of singing bowls has arrived! Singing bowls are actually, believe it or not, are type of musical instrument classified as a standing bell, according to Wikipedia. The sides and rim of the bell vibrate to produce sound, which can be surprisingly intense. Singing bowls were traditionally used throughout Asia, since at least the 10th century (and perhaps even earlier), though the origin of the singing bowl is not know. Today they are used worldwide for meditation, relaxation, yoga, music therapy, healthcare and religious practices and for personal enjoyment.

We consistently sell out of our singing bowls, so stop in soon if you want to hear something more melodious than the sound of your one hand clapping!

Next week, we'll be on our Spring Break schedule, which means we'll open at a lazy 11 am each day (Monday through Friday).
Money and Joy
From Cheryl: I'm working on the new Blog space on our website, and I thought I'd share the first (draft) entry with you all here. It should be posted on our website soon, and I invite you all to check it out and give me some feedback.

It's good to be back in The Real World. I spent five intense days last week in a Guerrilla Business School seminar, where every minute, from 9 am to 11 pm, was packed with more business building ideas than I can process in a year. It was a great experience, and I hope to implement maybe a tenth of what I learned in the coming months. One theme all of the speakers reiterated was the importance of referral, affiliate, and network marketing. If I haven't already, rest assured that I'll be hitting up more and more of you for ideas about how we can connect our our "databases" of friends, colleagues, and/or customers to create greater abundance for all of us, whatever our endeavors. Despite all the distance that our technology tries to wedge between us, connecting person-to-person is the most meaningful way we communicate, and it also happens to be the very most effective way to market our skills, services, and wares.

By the way, if any of this sounds interesting, I urge you to check out the Millionaire Mind Intensive (produced by the same people as GBS) which I attended, not once, but TWICE last year. Yes, even with my busy mother-of-two-and-a-store schedule, I found time to pack in those three three days of intensive training twice last year. I never thought it would be possible, but it's funny how things work out if we let them (and do a lot of begging and pleading for help!). I recommend it for everyone, whether you have any specific financial goals or not. Before I went, I thought it would be a dull, dry talk about numbers, and how would I stay awake? It was anything but boring. I laughed, I cried, and I danced my way onto a path of greater prosperity.

If you're still not so sure it's the thing for you, try the Millionaire Mind Evening event which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 2 from 7 to 10 pm. It's not-so- conveniently located (for most of us) at the LAX Marriott, but I think it's so important that I'm willing to drive a group of us in my van. The first four to contact me can share a ride in the first-ever "Blissful Soul vanpool." If you have any more questions about it, call Cheryl at the store between 10 and 2 on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday.

We also have plenty of free tickets for anyone who wants to attend, whether you ride with us or not. Simply go to Peak Potentials website and enter 408909 in the Ticket Number space on the registration form. The LAX Marriott is located at 5855 West Century Blvd. Arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 pm for registration. This event is FREE.
Sandy Smith
We had a great turnout for the first of four sessions on Developing Your Psychic Abilities last Tuesday. We all have some level of psychic abilities, and we use them without even knowing it. Sandy Smith is helping us identify and hone those abilities. The class continues for three more weeks, Tuesdays from 7 to 9 pm.

The topics include:
  • *Various Forms of Psychic Ability
  • *The Importance of Prayer and Meditation
  • *Techniques for Grounding
  • *Evaluating the Experience

Sandy Smith is third-generation intuitive Psychic and and she has made a lifetime commitment to helping people and animals, accomplishing this through her gifts of clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience. Sandy Smith's love for all of Gods creatures enables her to work compassionately and lovingly with people and animals.

We have just one or two spots left, so call immediately if you are interested. Each participant receives personal "spot readings" by Sandy. Cost for all four sessions was $200, but we may entice Sandy to offer latecomer pricing. 323-258-6900.

Regeneration. 1649 Colorado Blvd. Eagle Rock. Los Angeles. 323.344.0430. Store hours: 12-6 Tuesday through Sunday.

Next week is Spring Break for many kids in our area, and many of us busy parents will be frantic for creative ways to fill the days. Keep 'em busy (and active!) for hours at Peekaboo Playland at 2513 Colorado in Eagle Rock, 323-255- 1400. It's 3400 square feet of indoor and outdoor imaginative play area for kids and free coffee & wireless Internet for the grownups.

If the notion of enjoying a Spring Break is but a distant memory, we challenge you to take one moment in the coming week to do one silly thing in the next week: skip to the corner, draw with crayons or just run barefoot in some green grass. Last week, I came across a hopscotch drawn on the sidewalk, and without thinking about it (and without my kids in tow), I jumped my way through it. I felt years younger -- if only for a moment!

As always, we have GREAT PARKING available:

  • Weekdays between 1:00 and 3:00 (but closed on Tuesdays now)
  • Saturdays 1:00 to 5:00
  • Sundays Noon to 4:00pm

Happy Spring from all of us at The Blissful Soul!

Blessings,

Cheryl, Shirley, and Pam
