Dear Cheryl,
Expecting

It's March, and the weather has turned so beautifully spring-like that our thoughts and intentions turn to all things growing and blooming. Our inventory is also growing as we are expecting shipments this week of The Secret DVD, gongs, Celtic jewelry, organic soaps by Moon Valley, and Treasure Tea, made entirely of herbs from the Amazon Rainforest. All these orders were inspired by your requests, and we love hearing from you. If you have other suggestions about what The Blissful Soul enjoys, please let us know. We want to offer exactly what you want to see, and we are happy to take special orders.

Chair massage
Start your week off right with a relaxing chair massage with Mary Frances next Monday, March 12 between 10 am and 1pm. Cost is just $1 a minute -- a small price to pay for some peace of mind and body!
PollyGrant
Polly Grant will offer the full Sacred Contracts Workshop this Saturday, March 10 from 10 am to 4pm (with a two hour lunch break). This workshop is based on the Sacred Contracts book by Caroline Myss. For more information about the workshop, see Polly's website. There is very limited availbilty; call 323-258-6900 immediately for details and reservations.

Moon Valley
Thank you to all of you who have taken time to complete our "what would you like to see in The Blissful Soul" survey. One recurring comment is to offer organic soap, so we've stocked up on the favorites from Moon Valley, along with their ever- popular Body Heal salve. Both consist of organic, locally grown, sustainably harvested ingredients. They incorporate western herbs with traditional Chinese medicinals. As the utlimate green company, Moon Valley also utilizes biodiesel, reclaimed vegetable oil, and passive solar energy to create their unique line of products.

This is Good Stuff. My mother-in-law, Barbara, who lives in Louisiana, was disappointed to learn that we were sold out of Body Heal when she visited over the holidays. We definitely had to get that back on the shelves. In fact, she asked us to send a box of it to her to sell in Slidell! Body Heal contains cooling and energizing Mint and Lavender, which rejuvenate, and Arnica which brings temporary relief to minor aches and pains. It's perfect for sports injuries, as well as as those inexplicable aches of becoming...shall we say....more mature. I dare not reveal Barbara's age but let's just say that she's old enough to know.

St. Pat's Hat
The Blissful Soul 'tis sportin' a bit more o'the green this month. Along with a good selection of Celtic books, jewelry, and music, Pam has created an essential oil blend just for the Irish in you. The Blissful Soul Luck O'the Irish blend has a fresh and faintly sweet scent, much like the lovely isle of Eire after a spring rain, or so we hear tell. We have a very limited supply so come get it before it's as gone as my favorite Trader Joe's salad dressing!
Sandy Smith
We all have some level of psychic abilities, and we use them without even knowing it. Sandy Smith will help us identify and hone those abilities in a four- week Developing Your Psychic Abilities class, Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm, starting March 27.

The topics will include:
  • *Various Forms of Psychic Ability
  • *The Importance of Prayer and Meditation
  • *Techniques for Grounding
  • *Evaluating the Experience

Sandy Smith is third-generation intuitive Psychic and and she has made a lifetime commitment to helping people and animals, accomplishing this through her gifts of clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience. Sandy Smith's love for all of Gods creatures enables her to work compassionately and lovingly with people and animals.

This class will be very limited in size, and each participant will receive personal "spot readings" by Sandy. Cost for all four sessions is $200 ($175 if paid at least 28 hours in advance). Space for these sessions is very limited. RSVP to 323-258-6900.
Spa Girl
I wandered into the new Spa Girl Skin & Body Boutique Spa recently, and I was amazed by the charming respite that owner Wendy has created. She spent six full months transforming a nondescript warehouse sort of space into a little slice of tranquility. The effect is serene and beautiful, not unlike The Blissful Soul (dare I say it) but with a completely different, beautiful style. It's worth stopping in for the tour!

Spa Girl offers massage, a variety of facials, body treatments, provided by California licensed professionals with have experience at such places as the Ritz Carlton, Burke Williams, Argyle Resort, and Atmosphere Day Spa in Glendale.

Despite the name Spa Girl is not just for women. Men and women alike are welcome, except on March 31 when Spa Girl will be open for women only for the Tan for the Cure 3 fundraiser which will benefit The National Breast Cancer Foundation. Get great deals on massages, model-quality photography, and spray tanning with all proceeds donated to the cause. Even if you don't indulge in a treatment, come enjoy the party. DJ Jackie Jac will start spinning at 7pm. Come enjoy a Girls Night Out for The Cure!

Spa Girl, (323) 256-6443, 2769 West Boradway, Los Angeles, CA 90041 Click here for more on Tan for the Cure.

The weekend 50% off Everything-in-the-Tent Sales have been so great that we will continue for one more weekend. On Saturday from 2 pm until 5 pm and on Sunday from noon to 4 pm, we'll offer a wide variety of our books, candles, incense, clothing, baskets, essential oils, and jewelry in our 50% off tent. This will be our last 50% off Sale Tent weekend for awhile, so don't miss out!

As always, we have GREAT PARKING available:

  • Weekdays between 1:00 and 3:00 (but closed on Tuesdays now)
  • Saturdays 1:00 to 5:00
  • Sundays Noon to 4:00pm

In closing, we offer a simple Irish prayer: May those who love us, love us; and those who don't love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.

Blessings,

Cheryl, Shirley, and Pam
